Justin was born in San Francisco, the son of a real estate developer pioneering the growth of the Bay Area industrial, life science, and commercial office markets. In 2014, Justin was recruited to play Division 1 football and attended UC Berkeley at the prestigious Haas School of Business. He received his BS in Business Administration with a finance focus and earned an additional certificate of focus in his study of the social and economic impacts of innovation, technology & entrepreneurship in emerging domestic and international markets. He became a dual-sport athlete in rugby and football before winning a pair of national championships and earning All-American Honors in 2018. In August of 2021, after earning an MSc in Sustainable Development from the University of Oxford, Justin joined the SteelWave team as a ground-up project development manager and co-founded Tyche Digital Ventures (TDV). His master’s dissertation focused on the role and impact of Proptech in sustainably enhancing the to-be-built and built environment.

Barry is widely recognized as a leading expert on office and industrial real estate and is frequently invited to speak at conferences and to participate on industry panels. He has been with SteelWave for 36 years and is a key partner in all of its real estate ventures. He began his career as a General Contractor for Custom Designs Construction, and has over 40 years of real estate experience.

Paul Meyer oversees the capital markets activities for SteelWave’s portfolio of office, industrial, multifamily and land development projects, as well as overseeing the firm’s multifamily development and acquisition activities. He is responsible for portfolio management and administrative operations. He also oversees debt and equity financing, banking relationships, and partner, client and owner relationships. He is responsible for the financial management of the various departments that comprise SteelWave. Paul has been with SteelWave for 37 years and is a partner in SteelWave and all of its real estate ventures.

Jocelyn Weber Phipps is the Founding Director of UC Berkeley Blockchain Xcelerator, which was launched in January 2019 and has worked with 65 teams from around the world. Follow-on funding for Xcelerator teams has now exceeded $200M USD. Jocelyn has developed relationships and partnerships with numerous blockchain protocols, industry leaders, blockchain / crypto VCs, and an extensive list of mentors in the blockchain space over the past 5 years. She is also currently the Deputy Director of the UC Berkeley Center for Responsible, Decentralized Intelligence. Previously, Jocelyn was the Director for the Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology in Berkeley Engineering, leading new programs for emerging technologies.
